On a cold and windy night in London our lives changed forever.
On our first trip to Europe, we had a grand plan to spend one week in London, one week in Madrid, and then four lovely days in Paris. Little did we know, a little something called Coronavirus had slightly different plans for us and the world. While we had made it to London, each day we were growing more and more nervous about continuing our trip but wanted to make the most of our time there. We spent the first few days seeing all of the sites and one of the last places I wanted to see was the Tower Bridge. I had told Will I really wanted to see it at night so we could see it with all of the lights. On our fifth night there, Will surprised me with a car service to take us to the Tower Bridge. Unfortunately, the driver took us to the London Bridge but luckily they're not too far from each other and it made for a great walk.
On a small dock along the river, we had found the perfect viewing spot and Will tried asking a few people to take our picture. We weren't having much luck so I was insistent that we should just take a selfie and make our way to dinner. For the first time ever I think Will wanted a picture more than I did. He then threw himself in front of two guys walking by, handed them his phone, and said take our picture. Before I knew it, he was down on one knee and asking me to marry him. It was absolutely perfect! And the guys taking our captured the moment perfectly!
The celebration continued as we made our way to the Shard, the tallest building in the UK, and had what was our favorite meal in London at Oblix. Of course Will had already notified the restaurant of his plans to propose so we were greeted with a celebratory bottle of Champagne! After dinner, we spent some time calling our families to tell them the exciting news. They apparently we're also privy to Will's grand plan so had sent us a bottle of champagne to our hotel and were toasting with us from afar. It was absolutely a night we will never forgot!

We were able to spend two more blissful days in London as an engaged couple. Unfortunately, we made the decision that we probably shouldn't visit Madrid this time around BUT we made it to Paris! It may have only been for 36 hours but it was so worth it! Not only did we get the see the twinkling lights of the Eiffel Tower in the city of love, but we also were able to take some beautiful engagement photos at some of the most iconic Parisian landmarks.
A few plane rides later, we were finally back home in Houston and ready to start our new quarantine lifestyle.
There's no one else we'd rather quarantine with.
